We are committed to recognising pupils' good behaviour and achievements. All pupils belong to a House and collect House Points. These points are collected and ribbons placed on the House Cup weekly to celebrate the House with the highest points. Children's wider achievements are shared and celebrated at assembly.

We have strong links with the local community. The minister of the parish church visits regularly and we take the children to church for services, to which parents, friends and members of the community are invited. We participate in community events such as the Largo Festival and the Horticultural Show and invite community members as well as parents into school for special events and performances. We also work closely with the Levenmouth Rotary Club and participate in their organised events and initiatives.

All children are members of committees which work hard to take forward their individual agendas, improving the life of the children at school and in the world.

We fundraise for charities by holding events which are organised by the children. The MacMillan Coffee morning is a well-established event in our annual calendar, as is Comic Relief and Sports Aid. Other charities are supported when appropriate.

Kirkton of Largo Primary School is situated in the historical, picturesque village of Upper Largo. The school is ideally situated on a quiet secondary road with extensive views of Largo Law, the village and open farmland. It is within easy travelling distance of Leven, Glenrothes, Cupar and St Andrews.

The building comprises three classrooms and a hall, which is used for PE, drama, assemblies and lunch. To accommodate the school cycling programme, the school is fortunate to have a large container which holds bikes for every pupil. The roll currently consists of one multi-composite class.

We have achieved our green flag status as an Eco school and have improved our outdoor area by installing a lovely outdoor stage/ tree house, magnifying posts, picnic benches, new plant pots, new outdoor toys, 2 new outdoor sheds and green house. Our beautiful garden offers a super environment for imaginative play, learning about nature and a place for the children to relax and appreciate our lovely, countryside surroundings.

• Morning Interval:  10:40am - 10:55am
• Afternoon Session:  1:20pm - 3:00pm

School uniform consists of red or grey sweatshirt and a white polo shirt all embroidered with Kirkton of Largo's logo. Girls should wear a black/grey skirt or pinafore or black/grey trousers while boys should wear black/grey trousers. Black shoes are preferred as opposed to 'fashion' trainers.

For PE children should have navy or black shorts with a white T-shirt and plimsoles. A pair of outdoor trainers are also recommended for PE outside. Children may bring in old clothes for cycling.
