Requests to alter premises

Licence for Works

If you lease a building or land from the Council, you may need our consent as landlord to make alterations or additions to the property. Please refer to your lease (and seek your own legal advice) as in some cases the lease may allow you to make minor alterations. If the lease does not allow your proposed works, you will need to apply for our consent.

Your application must be submitted at least one month before the proposed start of works, together with all drawings, specifications and other documents that form part of your application.

For further information, please read the guidance notes

Our consent as landlord does not mean you have consent in any other capacity. Planning permission and/or a building warrants may still be required.
