The day of your collection

Bulky uplift service

The day of your collection

Items should be on the kerbside or as close as possible to where the blue bin in collected from by 7am.

If your pavement is extremely narrow or your items will cause obstruction to pedestrians, leave your items just inside the boundary of your property.

Our collections crews will not lift items over fences/hedges or up/down any stairs.

Make sure:

  • all items are seen from the roadside
  • there is no access issues or obstructions
  • all items can fit through gates
  • items in open driveways must be on the boundary between the pavement and driveway

Take out and return service

If you receive the take out and return service you can leave your items where your blue landfill bin is collected from if:

  • the items can fit through the gate
  • the items do not require to be lifted over fences, walls or hedges

If your items cannot be collected because of these reasons, they should be presented in a visible and accessible location such as a drive or pathway.

When will your items be collected?

Collections do not happen at the same time as your blue landfill or waste container is emptied. Two dedicated vehicles follow the recycling routes and collect your booked bulky item throughout the day. This means all your items may not be collected at the same time.

Bulky uplifts take place between 7am and 4:30pm.
