Independent advice
There's support available if you're having money worries. It's important to ask for help before things get worse.
Citizens Advice and Rights Fife (CARF) offer free, confidential, independent financial help and advice. Call them on 03451 40 00 94 Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm, or visit the CARF website.
What happens if I do not pay my arrears?
We will support you to make manageable payments to pay back your council tax. If you choose to ignore your arrears, we will have to take further action.
Once your arrears reach a certain level, your account may have been passed to the sheriff officers. Your letter will tell you who you need to call. You can contact them directly:
