This was the final phase of high rise demolition in Kincardine, with two adjacent blocks of flats being demolished in 2010. The initial phase provided space for the construction of new low rise social housing, with Ramsay Court providing decant accommodation for the remaining tenants in the area, while the new housing was constructed. The demolition was carried out using explosives and required extensive liaison with statutory authorities and neighbours, as well as very careful planning.

The demolition has made a significant difference to the urban environment in Kincardine, with improvements both visually and in quality of life.
