Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre has reopened following a significant refurbishment, delivering a modern, integrated space for leisure, learning, and community services.

Visitors can enjoy:

• A redesigned and expanded gym and new fitness studio
• World-class strength equipment – the first Hammer Strength Training Centre in Fife
• Upgraded health suite with sauna and steam room
• Refurbished pool and wet-side changing area, including a Changing Places unit

Upgraded air handling, heating, and ventilation systems, combined with energy-saving LED lighting and fabric enhancements, have significantly improved both energy performance and thermal efficiency. Outdoors, extensive landscaping has transformed the grounds with new planting, refreshed pathways, and enhanced visibility around the nursery play area reinforcing sustainability and safety.

Property Services provided detailed design plans, client support services and the work was undertaken by Fife Council Building Services in conjunction with local contractors.
