The project brief was to provide a modern purpose-built community facility to deliver a range of services to meet the needs of the Benarty villages of Glencraig, Crosshill, Lochore and Ballingry. This includes improved and enhanced services for adults, young people and children. The final building has provided an opportunity to reinforce the traditional sense of community which exists within the Benarty area.

This modern building has also been designed to address the three pillars of sustainable design through the fulfilment of human needs, sound economic development, and protection of the environment and prudent use of natural resources.
