Bankhead Central Office

Main Entrance

Property Services provided Project Management, Architectural Services, Quantity Surveying (in partnership with Building Services), Mechanical and Electrical design to the project.

In June 2010 Fife Council purchased the former ADC building within Bankhead Park, Glenrothes. The project comprised of refurbishing an almost entirely incomplete two-storey office wing/ 5264sqm GIFA.

As part of the Office Rationalisation Programme, the new facility provides approx. 351nr. workstations, 16 meeting rooms, 2 conference rooms & 1 training room for staff from Property Services, Corporate Asset Management, Transportation & Environment Services, Resources and Catering & Cleaning Services.

Whilst the Design Team remained mainly true to the original design concept by retaining the double height main entrance hall and the long internal ‘street’ serving the main office spaces, they created a new ‘central hub’ in the form of a highly visible restaurant/ café area with adjoining break out spaces/ staff kitchens, new printer hubs, hot desk/touch down area and additional office space on both floors.

While allowing for an extension to the programme to improve the office roof the project was completed successfully on time and within budget.
