Glen Pavilion

The Glen Pavilion is a wonderful Art Deco style building, sitting within Pittencrieff Park. It's the ideal location for all sorts of occasions, including weddings and business meetings. Over the years, we have hosted many successful events and welcomed some very distinguished guests including Her Majesty The Queen and His Holiness The Dalai Lama.

Our team will work with you to make sure your event is a success and we will tailor our services to suit you as far as possible. Just let us know what you need.

The Glen Pavilion is fully accessible and there are accessible toilets in both the function rooms and the Peacock Room.

The Venue

We have a selection of rooms available for all sorts of events, from small meetings to large weddings.

The Peacock Room is a bright room with large windows, opening onto a balcony overlooking the park. The room takes its name from the peacock painted above the original fireplace. It's ideal for small weddings of up to 70 guests and for meetings of up to 40 people.

The Glen Suite is a light and airy room, with large windows on both sides and access to a balcony overlooking the park. The room has direct access to the bar and there is a grand piano available. It can accommodate up to 160 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception, and up to 200 people for a meeting.

The Main Hall has a stage and large dance floor. It has direct access to the bar and the foyer area. It can cater for large weddings of up to 400 guests for the ceremony and 300 for the reception, and is ideal for conferences, seating up to 600 people theatre style.

Catering

We offer top quality catering, and use the finest fresh, local produce to provide you with a meal, whatever the occasion.

For weddings, celebrations and functions, you can choose from a variety of options, from a finger buffet to a delicious four-course meal.

For meetings, our day delegate package includes morning and afternoon refreshments and a two course or buffet lunch.

We offer healthy options and hold the ‘Eat Safe’ award which recognises excellence in food hygiene.

Location & Facilities

The Glen Pavilion is located in Pittencrieff Park, in the centre of Dunfermline. It is a short walk from Dunfermline Bus Station and approximately one mile from Dunfermline Town Railway Station on foot.

Our setting offers some features which you won’t find in other venues:

Indoors:

  • the Art Deco architectural features make a very attractive backdrop.

Outdoors:

  • The parkland offers beautiful formal gardens, as well as acres of manicured lawns with views across to Edinburgh, the Forth Bridges and the Lothians.
  • There is also a glasshouse which can be used for photographs if the sun isn’t shining.
  • The outdoor space is also ideal for activities like team building exercises or simply to provide a welcome break from busy events.

Accommodation

There is a good selection of hotels and bed and breakfasts in and around Dunfermline, including several within walking distance of the Glen Pavilion.

Bookings and Enquiries

The Glen Pavilion is a very popular venue and we recommend that you book well in advance. A non-refundable deposit of £300 is required to secure your booking, with the full balance payable six weeks prior to the event.
