Using your heating

Knowing how to use your boiler or heating system is extremely important. You need to ensure you're using it correctly, to get the most out of your heating. Not all boilers work the same, so it's vital that you refer to your boiler's instruction manual and become familiar with the setup.

The two most common types of gas boiler in our council properties are the Greenstar i ErP combi boiler and Vaillant ecoFIT sustain combi boiler. If you're a council tenant, it's likely you'll have one or the other.

If you have an electric heating system, it's likely to be the EC10001 - 1 Zone Timeswitch model.

If you have any concerns about how your heating works, please refer to the manuals below. They give you step-by-step instructions on becoming familiar with your heating system, as well as setting timers, fault finding, and dealing with pressure issues, where applicable.
