Funding and Finances for Community Councils

Annual administrative grant

Active community councils can apply for an annual administrative grant from April each year to assist with the administration costs of the community council. Fife Council will email community councils to notify them when the grant application process opens.

If you have any questions about the annual grant, please contact:

Additional funding opportunities

Community councils may also apply for external funding to support local projects.

The Fife Funding Search is an online database of funding opportunities, searchable by activity type, beneficiary group, geographical area and more. It is free to use and provides up-to-date information on a wide range of external funding bodies.

Grants administered by Fife Council are listed on the Fife Grants webpage and are promoted through the channels noted above. Community councils most commonly access Local Community Planning Budgets (LCPB). Recent LCPB awards have supported local and civic events, equipment purchases, floral displays and Christmas lights.
