Attend a nature event
Recording nature is important all year round.
Fife Council, alongside several partners, hosted a successful 'Discovering Nature in Fife Week' in 2026, engaging people in nature recording.
Hear more from spokesperson for Environment and Climate Change, Cllr Wincott about the event.
We are working on our next Discovering Nature Week event which will take place in 2027.
Take part in citizen science surveys
There are many organised wildlife and nature surveys that anyone can take part in. These activities collect information in a consistent way to help with research and conservation.
Whether you are just starting out or have lots of experience, and if you have a little or a lot of time to give, there is something for everyone.
An overview of a wide range of opportunities can be found on the NatureScot website.
For more local surveys, visit the Transforming Fife’s Greenspaces project.
