Accessing records
Our Information Request Service is available for use by Fife Council and Fife partnerships, as well as other local and national organisations, professionals and members of the public.
Our database holds, analyses, correlates and interprets all of our data, and supports the production of species distribution, habitat and designated site maps, using ArcGIS.
Requested information can be made available to support development planning assessments, decision-making and related activities/projects, and assist with education, research, or conservation.
If you would like to receive species data or information on habitats or designated sites for a location in Fife, please complete and return an Information Service Request Form.

Current charges
Fife Nature Records Centre operates a charging policy for the provision of biological information, where the data is requested in relation to a commercial activity.
Our current charges are:

Discount rates apply to organisations or individuals who have made a significant contribution to wildlife records or other resources to Fife Nature Records Centre.
