Fife Active Schools hosted its annual Young Ambassador Day on Monday 18th August at Fife College’s St Brycedale campus in Kirkcaldy.
The event brought together an incredible 140 Young Ambassadors with representation across all 18 high schools for a day of inspiration, leadership and connection.
The event was led by 31 Platinum Ambassadors who committed a large amount of their summer break to plan and design the day for their peers. The day consisted of a programme of workshops, team-building activities, and motivational sessions designed to empower the new young ambassadors.
Ronan Capon, Active Schools Manager, said: "Young Ambassador Day is a cornerstone of our commitment to developing confident, capable young leaders in sport. The energy, passion, and professionalism shown by our Platinum Ambassadors was outstanding, and the engagement from all of the newly recruited Young Ambassadors was truly inspiring."
The Young Ambassador programme, supported by sportscotland and delivered locally by Fife Active Schools, aims to give young people the opportunity to lead, influence, and shape sport in their schools and communities. This year’s event highlighted the strength of youth leadership in Fife and the growing impact of the programme across the region.
The event marks the beginning of an exciting year ahead for Young Ambassadors, who will now return to their schools equipped with new skills, ideas, and confidence to make a difference in their communities.
