Fife Council and Climate Action Fife invite local residents, community groups, and organisations to a major milestone event at the Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy, on Monday 3 November 2025, to celebrate progress and look ahead to the next chapter of Fife’s climate journey.
The free drop-in event, taking place between 2:00pm and 6:00pm, marks almost two years since the refreshed Climate Fife Strategy and Action Plan was launched in March 2024 — a key moment when Fife Council pledged to go further and faster to build a climate-friendly, climate-ready and climate-just region.
The Climate Fife Milestone Event is an opportunity for local people to:
- Explore inspiring local projects and meet stallholders from community groups, organisations and council services making a difference.
- Discover what’s happening across Fife through the Climate Fife Strategy and its three “Big Moves” — Community, Resilience, and Energy.
- Connect with others who care about Fife’s future and want to be part of the region’s transformation.
Ross Spalding, Service Manager, Climate Change & Zero Waste, Fife Council, said: “The event is free and open to everyone. Whether you're already involved in climate work or just beginning your journey, this is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and help build a more sustainable future.
"This event brings together residents, community groups, organisations and partners to share ideas, highlight achievements and explore opportunities for the future. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible there.”
Cllr Jan Wincott, Fife Council Spokesperson for Environment and Climate Change, added: “The Climate Fife Milestone Event will spotlight local stories, showcase innovation, and provide a platform to shape the next phase of action. It’s a chance for everyone — individuals, communities, and organisations — to get involved in building a greener, fairer Fife.
“Our focus is on embracing the opportunities climate action can bring and taking Fife into a future that is climate friendly, climate ready, and climate just. We are committed to leading and supporting all of Fife to tackle the climate emergency — but we can only achieve this by working together.”
