Service disruptions to Council customer service centres

This article is more than 3 years old

From Monday 23 March, Fife Council’s smaller customer service points will temporarily close due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Only the main customer service centres will stay open for now, on an appointment only basis. These are:

  • Cowdenbeath Customer Service Centre (Brunton House)
  • Cupar Customer Service Centre (County Buildings)
  • Dunfermline Customer Service Centre (City Chambers)
  • Glenrothes Customer Service Centre (Fife House)
  • Inverkeithing Customer Service Centre (Civic Centre)
  • Kirkcaldy Customer Service Centre (Town House)
  • Methil Customer Service Centre (Wellesley Road)

Appointments will only be available for:

  • Housing benefit / council tax proof
  • Council tax reduction universal credit
  • Housing benefit / council tax - new claims and change of circumstances
  • Welfare fund application (assisting via phone)
  • Birth / death/ still birth registration
  • Marriage schedule collection

Customers should not visit if they feel any symptoms or have anyone in their household self-isolating. Please only come to our offices if you have no other means of contacting us. To protect staff and customers, we are limiting the number of attendees at our centres to two per appointment, but please do try to come along on your own if possible.

We’ll be getting in touch with customers who have pre-arranged appointment at our now closed centres to complete these online, by phone or post.

For the majority of our customers, our services can be accessed online at www.fife.gov.uk and we can still be contacted by phone in an emergency on 03451 55 00 99.
