Early Years Officer Apprenticeships on hold

Due to the current physical distancing restrictions and nursery closures the intended intake of Fife Council's Early Years Officer Modern Apprentices this Spring had to unfortunately be delayed.

We are currently planning for the advert to go live in October with a start date of January 2021.  This may have to change as we move forward though.

Councillor Fay Sinclair, Education & Children's Services Convener, said “This apprenticeship is an on the job experience, based within nurseries. It would have proved impossible for apprentices to be given the necessary training to help them work towards their qualification.  Once we have firm plans in place for how nurseries will reopen and operate, we will have a clearer idea of how the apprenticeship will be delivered.

“We understand that there are a lot of disappointed people who were waiting for the advert to go live just at the point of lockdown. We’d like to thank those of you who have been in touch to ask what our position is. The advert will always be publicised on Fife Council social media platforms, so I’d suggest that those interested should ‘like’ the Facebook page to keep up to date with further developments.”
