In conjunction with carriageway resurfacing, a new shared pedestrian footway/cycle track is being installed along the B9130, from the A92 roundabout to Balbirnie Park and John Dixon Park. The new active travel facility will comprise:
- a new 3.5 m wide off-carriageway shared pedestrian footway/cycle track
- a 500 mm wide buff safety strip next to the kerbline
- raised crossings at Mount Frost Drive and the Balbirnie Estate access road
- a new section of footway, immediately west of Sweetbank Terrace to Bowen Place
Completion of the works is scheduled for spring 2022 and it's estimated it will cost approximately £260,000.
