St Andrews - Lade Braes Link Path to Hallow Hill

Stage status: Consultation

The community requested improvements to active travel routes, so we upgraded the Lade Braes path in St Andrews with a bituminous surface. This made the path more accessible, especially for people with mobility challenges.

Residents have now asked us to carry out further work to improve access to Lade Braes from nearby residential area, in particular Hallow Hill. A steep gravel path currently connects the roads to the main route.

A local councillor has confirmed strong community support for these improvements. Upgrading the route will make walking, wheeling, and cycling easier and safer for everyone.

Construction: Spring 2026

Distance: 200m approx.

Approximate infrastructure investment: £80,000
