Stage status: Consultation
In 2021, part of Burntisland Road (A921) was upgraded to a shared pedestrian and cycle path. Cyclists rejoin the road near Trust Housing Association, continuing through Kinghorn via NCN76.
Local community representatives have proposed a new off-road path beside Kinghorn Golf Course to improve safety and encourage walking, cycling, and wheeling. This path would benefit school pupils, connect new housing in the north of Kinghorn, and improve access to the railway station and town centre.
Construction: Late 2025
Distance: 500m approx.
Approximate infrastructure investment: £180,000
