ScotRail 12 month pilot
From 1st April 2025, a 12 month pilot is being introduced by ScotRail which will enable those who have a Sight Impaired National Entitlement Card (NEC) with the Ceye+1 symbol to bring a companion with them at no cost when travelling together on trains within Scotland on ScotRail services.
The blind cardholder can be accompanied by 1 companion who will be granted free travel with the cardholder”. Further information can be found on ScotRail website

- Travel between any two Fife train stations for just £1 (single) or £2 (return), unlimited journeys, tickets are valid on the day of purchase only.
- Young Persons' Rail Discount
- If you're 16–18 or a full-time volunteer under 26, you can get 1/3 off most fares and advance tickets, plus 50% off weekly and monthly tickets.
