Transfer of a short-term let licence
The licence is specific to the licence holder and the accommodation. This means you cannot hand your licence over to someone else.
To transfer your licence:
- You, as the current licence holder, must submit a Transfer application (Part A)
- The new host/operator must submit a Transfer application (Part B)
Things to note:
- The application will be subject to police checks
- The length of the licence will not be changed with a transfer
- Transfer applicants must not operate as a STL until a licence has been granted
Variation of a short-term let licence
You can apply to vary a licence, for example to change the managing agent that runs the STL on your behalf. It cannot be used to increase the maximum occupancy of your STL. If you want to do this, you will need apply for a new licence.
