Booking office licences

A Booking Office licence is required for the use of premises for the carrying on of a business which consists of:

• taking bookings, by means of communication, from members of the public for the hire of a vehicle which is a licensed taxi or private hire car.

Premises are exempt from a Booking Office licence if the number of vehicles in respect of which bookings are taken does not exceed three at any time.

Wheelchair-accessible vehicles

The Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles (Disabled Persons) Act 2022 makes sure disabled persons can use taxis and private hire vehicles with confidence and without discrimination.
