Paying an invoice

You can pay an invoice in the following ways:

Online

Pay your invoice online by selecting ‘Invoice’ from the list of bill types. You will be asked to enter your payment reference number from your invoice and your card details.

Direct debit

You can set up a direct debit by contacting the team on the number below or by downloading a Direct Debit mandate available at the bottom of this page and returning it to us.

Automated telephone payments

You can pay your bill over the phone, using a debit or credit card by calling 03451 55 00 55. Please make sure you have your debit / credit card details and payment reference number which you will find on the invoice. This service is available 24 hours a day.

In person

At any Paypoint or Post Office.

By post

Cheques should be made payable to Fife Council and sent to: Fife Council, Finance and Corporate Services, Fife House, North Street, Glenrothes, KY7 5LT.

Request a copy invoice

You can request a copy of your invoice:

By calling us on 03451 55 11 55, or
by completing the enquiry form below

Please include your invoice number. Copies can be sent by post or email.

Don’t have an invoice number?

If you do not have your invoice number, please do not complete the online form (as this is a required field). Please call our office on 03451 551155 (select option 2) during our office hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

Dispute an invoice

If you want to dispute a Fife Council invoice, you can do so by;

calling the issuing service directly on the number that is on your invoice labelled ‘for invoice enquiries’;
filling in our Dispute an Invoice form below.

Please provide the invoice number when contacting us so we can deal with your dispute as quickly as possible.

Fife Council has a corporate debt policy that provides information and advice to customers who may be experiencing problems with multiple debts owed to us.

Report a change of address

If you have moved or your address details are incorrect, please use the form linked below. We will send your invoice to the correct address.

Problems paying

If you are experiencing financial difficulty or are unable to pay your invoice, please contact the team immediately. We may be able to arrange a suitable payment plan. Contact the team by calling 03451 55 11 55 or by using the enquiry form below.
