Capital expenditure is usually spending of a 'one-off' nature. It results in the purchase, construction, or improvement of an asset, such as a building or vehicle.

The Capital Investment Plan was approved by Fife Council on 22nd June 2023.
Capital Strategy
We continue to have ambitious plans, to improve the lives of everyone who lives here. The capital strategy 2023 sets out our corporate priorities for:
- investment for recovery and renewal
- recognising the need to enhance and maintain our existing infrastructure
- acquiring new assets
The strategy draws together the investments over a 10-year period, in line with the Plan for Fife, as well as considering the strategic context, funding, risk, governance and affordability.
