How to apply

Your new career with Fife Council is closer than you think!

We’re delighted that you’re considering joining Fife Council.

To help you submit a strong application, we’ve put together a simple guide outlining each step of the process, along with useful tips and support available to you.

The application process has two parts - unless the advert does not ask for a supporting statement - you must complete both:

  1. Complete the application form and
  2. Upload a supporting statement (we do not accept CVs)

Existing Fife Council employees 

If you already work for Fife Council, you should apply via Oracle Cloud. From the job listings screen, click the menu icon at the top right and select “I an an employee”.

Disability Confident

Application Support

You can go along to one of our Community Jobs Clubs if you’d like some extra help from our friendly staff or access to a computer to help with your job searches, applications or interview preparation.

Our Supported Employment service offers a free and confidential employment support service for people living in Fife with disabilities or health issues.


Alternative Formats

Right to Work in the UK and Sponsorship Requests

Fife Council may be able to offer visa sponsorship for certain roles if the position meets the minimum salary threshold and Home Office sponsorship eligibility criteria.   Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is considered on a case-by-case basis.

If your application is progressed, you will be asked to provide confirmation of your right to work in the UK and will not be able to work for us in any capacity without it.  You must inform the hiring manager at interview if you want to be considered for sponsorship.
