You can get a 25% discount on your council tax bill if you're the only adult aged 18 or older living in your home.

Cancel your discount

You will no longer be eligible for the single person discount if:

• someone living with you turns 18
• another adult moves into your home

Apply for a discount

You can apply if:

• you live alone
• you are aged 18 or older
  

How to cancel or apply

You can apply for or cancel discount through your council tax account via your mygovscot myaccount.

If you do not have an account, you can register for a council tax account.
