Do not visit without booking
Access: Bookings must be made online to access this site www.fife.gov.uk/recyclingcentres. Please remember to bring your booking confirmation email and driving license or a council tax bill as proof of address. There will be no entry without a booking. For more information please read the COVID19 access policy and site rules
Vehicles: Cars only - no vans, pickups, trailers or other commercial type vehicles. Only 1 person is allowed per vehicle unless the item being disposed of is too heavy to be handled by a single person. In this instance two members from the same household can attend the recycling centre and exit the vehicle to dispose of the item.
On site: The Recycling Centre is laid out differently to accommodate social distancing. Signs are in place to help your visit. Site staff cannot help dispose of waste but will be on hand to answer any questions, please follow their instructions. Please keep 2m apart from site staff and other users at all times. Appointments for cars are 10 minutes, please have waste separated to ease disposal and prevent traffic issues.
Materials: The materials accepted at this HWRC are:
- Landfill waste that:
- Is not suitable for reuse.
- Cannot be recycled.
- Green garden waste
- Cans and plastics
- Wood (includes MDF and logs)
- White Goods such as washing machines and fridges.
- Small electrical and electronic equipment (no TVs/monitors or fire/smoke alarms). If it has a plug or a battery, then bring it in
- TV’s and monitors
- Vehicle oil
- Fluorescent light bulbs/tubes
- Vehicle batteries
- Household batteries
- Empty gas cylinders
No other materials will be accepted

Examples of green garden waste that can be brought to site include:
- Grass cuttings ✓
- Flowers and plants ✓
- Weeds and trimmings ✓
- Leaves ✓
- Hedge clippings ✓
Examples of waste that cannot go in the green garden waste skip include:
- Soil ✗
- Turf ✗
- Logs ✗
- Stones/rubble ✗
Food waste bags are not available at any of our Recycling Centres.
Once you have finished disposing of your waste, please sanitise your hands (bring your own) and leave the site.
