Welcome to Waid Community Use

Putting the Community in the Centre

Waid Community Use operates within the Waid Community Campus.  Waid Community Use opened in 1974, with the McArthur Community Sports Centre completed in 2003.  Our aim is to promote participation in sport, learning and leisure activities.

We offer a range of evening classes to suit different ages, interests and ability levels.  Full details of all our classes, facilities and programme leaflets are available from reception.  The programme changes from time to time, check this website for particulars.

The new Waid Community Campus offers a variety of high-quality facilities for hire. We can offer meeting rooms, a fitness suite, and a seated auditorium. Sports facilities are also available, including a modern sports hall and a new floodlit, full-size 3G artificial pitch, which can be divided into halves or thirds for 7- and 5-a-side games.

We are open in the evening on weekdays and on Saturday mornings during the school term time only. During the Summer & October school holidays we offer some holiday activities for children, check the website for details.
