Welcome to Beath High Community Use

Putting the Community in the Centre

Located in Cowdenbeath, Beath High Community Use is a modern and fully accessible venue designed for our local community, groups, and organisations. The Community Use entrance is located in the main reception of the school with a glass canopied entry. We offer a wide range of activities for all ages, classes and courses, sports, and have plenty of facilities to host events, competitions, meetings, performances, and shows. Along with classes in gymnastics and all sorts of dance we offer music lessons in piano, guitar, keyboard, drums and chanter for both adults and children. We also have woodturning, ceilidh dance, ballroom dance, Gaelic, British Sign Language, Yoga and more.  At Beath High Community Use, we want to build a programme shaped by the community. Our Assembly Hall at Beath High Community Use is a versatile space perfect for large gatherings, performances, and events. Active Travel Routes & Facilities

  • Walking and Cycling Paths: Cowdenbeath offers several walking and cycling paths connecting Beath High Community Use with key areas in Cowdenbeath. These routes provide safe and scenic options for active travel, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Cycle Parking: To encourage cycling, the Beath provides secure cycle parking.  Visitors are welcome to use these facilities and a code for the bicycle shelter is available from reception.

Public Travel Information

Bus Services

  • Service 7D: Operates between Kelty and Foulford Road just outside the school. This service runs regularly throughout the day.
  • Service 19: Provides a circular route linking Rosyth, Dunfermline, Halbeath, Crossgates, Hill of Beath, Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly and Ballingry. It also operates frequently.  It stops in Cowdenbeath High Street, which is 0.8 miles from Beath High School and around a 15 minute walk.
  • Service 33: Provides a circular route linking Dunfermline, Halbeath, Crossgates, Cowdenbeath, Lochgelly, Cardenden and Kirkcaldy. This service runs regularly and again stops in Cowdenbeath High Street.

Rail Services

Cowdenbeath Railway Station is located on the town’s High Street.  This is 0.8 miles from Beath High School and around a 15 minute walk.
