General Location

Glenrothes Bus Station is centrally located on Church Street adjacent to the Kingdom Shopping Centre.  There are 17 stances: 8 adjacent to the main building (Stances 1-8) and 9 between the main building and the Golden Acorn Car Park (Stances 9-17).

Staffing Hours

The Bus Station is staffed at the following times:

Monday to Friday - 7:30 am to 10:30pm

Saturday - 8am to 10:30pm

Sunday - 12:00pm to 8:30pm

The Supervisor's Office is inside the main building beside the door leading to Stance 8.

The Bus Station Supervisor does not deal with any lost property on a bus.  If you have lost something on a bus, please contact the Bus Operator.  

Waiting Room

The main waiting room faces onto Stances 1-8 and the other.  There is sheltered seating at all stances.

The heated room is currently unavailable. 

Parking

There is a Pay & Display car park, with 54 spaces, opposite the Golden Acorn pub (beside Stance 17).

Drop-off / Pick-up points

Passengers can be dropped off or picked up in the car park opposite the Golden Acorn pub (beside Stance 16) or from the Dunnes Stores Car Park, which is 10 metres from Stance 1 via a zebra crossing with dropped kerbs

There is a taxi rank adjacent to Stances 10 to 17.

Bus Information

Each stance has a shelter timetable, route information and real-time information screens.  There are real-time information screens located at the entrance to the station from Church Street, inside the building at the Stance 8 entrance as well as an interactive screen across from Stance 8. Information points are situated opposite Stances 2, 8 and 9 and within the station building.  Bus times can be obtained in advance by phoning Travelinescotland on 0871 200 2233.

The Supervisor's Office is inside the main building beside the door leading to Stance 8.

Stance Access

The bus station can be accessed from the Church Street pedestrian crossing directly onto Stance 8.  The Postgate entrance (to the rear of the bus station) links with the Kingdom Shopping Centre. Stance 1 can be accessed via a dropped kerb footway and zebra crossing from the Club 3000 Bingo direction.  Stance 17 is accessed from the car park at the Golden Acorn.

Toilets

The Ladies, Gents and Disabled toilets are in the main building.  There is a 30p charge for this toilet. The disabled toilet can be accessed using a RADAR key.  The opening hours are as follows:

Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 10:00pm

Saturday - 8am to 10:00pm

Sunday - 12:00pm to 8:30pm

Left Luggage

Luggage lockers are available in the main waiting room. A non-returnable charge of £1 is levied for each locker.

Cycle Facilities

There is a cycle rack for 6 bikes opposite Stance 8 and a cycle shelter beside Stance 1.  Users must also provide their own bike lock (racks).

CCTV

There are CCTV cameras throughout the station building and for all stances but not in the car park.

Other Information

Inpost locker located off Church Street opposite Stance 1.

There is also a sewing shop within the bus station. Opening times as follows:

Monday to Friday 9 am to 16:45 pm

Saturday 9 am 13:45pm

Café inside the main building opening times as follows:

Monday to Saturday 8 am to 5 pm

Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm
