Roadworks are due to begin on the A907 and A994 between Dunfermline and Crossford, from 4 July 2026, as part of co-ordinated improvement works.

The works are expected to last for 9 weeks and will use traffic management to keep road users and pedestrians safe while the work is carried out.

Cllr James Calder, City of Dunfermline Area Committee convener said: “This work will significantly improve road conditions on the route between Dunfermline and Crossford, and we’re pleased to see work starting soon.

“There will be some disruption during the works, and we thank everyone for their patience while these essential improvements are carried out.”

During the works:

• temporary traffic lights, lane closures, road closures and diversions will be in place at various locations,

• access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be maintained where possible,

• pedestrian routes will be clearly signposted, and

• some delays are expected, particularly at peak times.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow extra time for journeys and follow on‑site signage. Further updates on traffic management and diversions will be shared at:
