This autumn, we’re improving the road network at Baldinnie. Work on a section of the B940 between the C56 junction and Bruntshiels, will be carried out from Monday 26 October to Friday 13 November 2026.
Location
The B940 links Largoward with Pitscottie.
A signed diversion route will be in place. Traffic may be slower and you may experience delays; please allow extra time for your journey.
Access for emergency services will be maintained wherever it’s safe to do so.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation as we improve Fife’s roads.
Works Programme
Road resurfacing works will be carried out on the B940 between the C56 junction and Bruntshiels.
To allow the work to be carried out safely, the road will be closed between 9am and 3pm each day. Temporary traffic lights will be in place outside these hours.
A signed diversion will be in place via B940 → B939 → A916 → A915 → B940. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys during the closure.
