This spring, we’re spending £150,000 improving the road network in Auchtermuchty.
We’ll be resurfacing A91 Low Road, Auchtermuchty from Monday 13 April to Friday 24 April 2026.
Current condition of Low Road, Auchtermuchty
Location
Low Road is the main road through Auchtermuchty and during the works it will be closed to traffic with a diversion signposted. Traffic may be slower and you might experience delays; please allow extra time for your journey.
Access arrangements for emergency services, businesses and residents will not be affected. The pavement beside the works will remain open.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation as we’re improving the road network.
Works Programme
The temporary road closure will be in place from Monday 8am to Friday 4pm. The closure will be removed on Friday evening and reinstated on Monday morning. The diversion route is via Station Road – Main Street – B936 – A912 – A91.

- All roadworks are weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
Bus Services
The local bus service will be affected and will divert via High Road. Affected bus stops will have information signs directing the public to the next available bus stop.

Communications
Updates will be provided through our social media channels and website. Road signs will be displayed at key locations to warn road users of the roadworks.
