Essential carriageway maintenance works are being carried out on the A823 between B914 Saline Road and Fife boundary at Powmill from Monday 1^st June to Friday 12^th June 2026 during week days only.

Due to the narrow carriageway, for health and safety of our workforce and travelling public it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic for the duration of the works.

Access will be maintained for residents as well as access for emergency services at all times.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation as we’re improving the road network on the A823.

Works Programme

The works are planned in 2 phases:

Phase 1

B914 Saline Road to Knockhill Racing Circuit.

Monday 1^st June – 5^th June 2026

Access to Knockhill from Powmill side only. Map showing location of works and diversion route.

Phase 2 

Powmill to Knockhill Racing Circuit

Monday 8^th June – 12^th June 2026

Access to Knockhill from B914 Saline Road only. Map showing location of works and diversion route.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 7pm.

Road Closures will be 24 hours a day.

Communications
