Residents invited to join Pride in Place neighbourhood board for West Fife Villages

Pride in Place funding - West Fife VillagesPeople living and working in West Fife Villages are invited to help shape the future of their community by joining a new Pride in Place neighbourhood board.

West Fife Villages has been selected to take part in the Pride in Place programme, which supports communities to lead long‑term improvements in their area. The programme focuses on listening to local voices and supporting projects that reflect what matters most to people who live there.

As part of this, a neighbourhood board will be set up to help guide how Pride in Place funding is used. The board will include local residents, community groups, organisations and businesses, and will help identify priorities for the area.

Pride in Place could support a range of improvements across West Fife Villages, such as better local facilities, stronger town and village centres, support for jobs and skills, and action on long‑standing local issues.

An expression of interest is now open for anyone who would like to be part of the neighbourhood board. Applications should be submitted by Sunday 31 May 2026.

Paul Vaughan, Head of Service for Communities said: “Pride in Place is all about putting local voices at the heart of decision‑making. This is a real opportunity for people who care about their community to help shape how investment is used and to make a positive, lasting difference across West Fife Villages.

“We encourage anyone interested to come forward.”

More information about Pride in Place and neighbourhood boards is available on the UK Government website.
