Over £1.5 million to be invested in Kirkcaldy Area Roads programme 2026-27

Members of the Kirkcaldy Area Committee have agreed to invest £1.56m to improve the area’s roads, footpaths and street lightening, and road safety over the next financial year.

Over £1.06m has been earmarked to improve the roads in the area, with more than £267,000 allocated to footways. £231,000 will go towards improving road safety and traffic management with just over £535,000 for street lighting. This funding is not used to fix potholes; this money comes from the Capital roads maintenance budget.  Balmoral Drive / Beaumont Crescent, Kirkcaldy

We’re committed to making sure Kirkcaldy’s roads, paths, safety and street lighting remain in good condition, despite the ever-challenging budgets so I’m pleased that we’ve been able to agree to this investment”
