A Volunteer Celebration Event, was held recently to honour the remarkable dedication, passion, and impact our local volunteers make in the Levenmouth area. The event was attended by a large number of local heroes who support individuals, groups, and projects across Levenmouth.

The event brought together volunteers from a wide range of programmes and community centres,  Attendees celebrated their achievements, shared stories, and received heartfelt thanks for the countless hours they devote to strengthening local neighbourhoods and helping communities thrive.

Barry Clark, Community Education Worker, said: “This celebration was about shining a light on the people who quietly make an enormous difference every single day. Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do — their commitment brings people together, enhances our services, and builds the sense of belonging that makes our communities stronger.”

The evening featured speeches, entertainment, and a specially created quiz that added a fun and interactive element to the festivities. The event was an appreciation of the individual volunteers and an acknowledgement of their ongoing contributions.

Community Education Worker, Lisa Hunter, also reflected on the event: “Our volunteers step forward for so many reasons — to give back, to learn, to support others, or simply to be part of something positive. No matter their motivation, the impact they make is felt across the whole community. This event was our way of saying thank you, and we’re incredibly proud to celebrate everything they do.

Well done and thank you to everyone who attended and to the wonderful volunteers across the area whose dedication continues to shape vibrant, connected, and supportive communities
