Fife Council is beginning early engagement with the local community as we work towards delivering a new play area at Farm Road, Cowdenbeath. Before any designs are developed, we want to hear directly from you — the people who use and value this space.
From climbing frames and swings to sensory play, accessible equipment or imaginative spaces — your ideas will help guide the design of a park that meets the needs of local children, families, and the wider community.
Councillor Linda Erskine, Fife Council Spokesperson for Communities and Leisure, said: “Play is important for children’s health and wellbeing, and play parks provide important opportunities for outdoor play.
“We’re currently carrying out a consultation where the community can let us know their thoughts on the design and the play equipment that they would like to see included as part of it.
“I’d encourage as many people as possible to take part and have their say by either filling in a short survey at https://haveyoursay.fife.gov.uk/communities/farm-road/ or by picking up and returning a paper copy of the form to The Maxwell Centre no later than 13 April 2026.”
