Fife Council and The Kinghorn Playparks Group are looking for people to have their say on the new play park design and equipment for Orchard Road play area in Kinghorn.
Councillor Linda Erskine, Fife Council Spokesperson for Communities and Leisure, said: “Play is important for children’s health and wellbeing, and play parks provide important opportunities for outdoor play.
“We’re planning to refurbish Orchard Road Play Park in Kinghorn and want to make sure it’s suitable and accessible to everyone who may use it.
“We’re currently carrying out a consultation where the community can let us know their thoughts on the design and the play equipment we have included as part of it.
“I’d encourage as many people as possible to take part and have their say by either filling in a short survey at https://haveyoursay.fife.gov.uk/communities/orchard-road-play-area-kinghorn or by picking up and returning a paper copy of the form to Kinghorn Community Centre, no later than 1st May 2026”
Councillor Cllr Ian Cameron, Convener of the Kirkcaldy Area Committee added: “We’re delighted to be able to help towards the funding for the refurbishment of Orchard Road play area.
"We’re committed to creating spaces that are safe, fun, and inclusive for all families in our community. This consultation is an important step in ensuring that the new play area meets the needs and desires of local children and parents. We want to hear from everyone so that together, we can create a place where children can play, learn, and grow."
