We want to hear from you! We’re asking residents across North East Fife to share their thoughts on the local supported bus services. Your feedback will help shape the future of these services.

 When? 
The consultation runs from Monday, 28 September to Sunday, 8 November 2026.

Why?

We are keen for feedback on these services to determine which are most important to the residents of North East Fife, what they are used for, what times people travel or would prefer to travel and where there are gaps in service provision etc.

Your comments will be considered when we renew contracts for subsidised bus routes in August 2027.

Which services? 
The bus routes currently supported or partly supported in North East Fife include: 
Go Flexi (F3, F4, F5, F6, F7), 35, 35A, M36, 36, 41, 41A, 41B, 59, 64, 68, 77, 77A, 95

What do we need? 
We want to know where you go by bus and when you prefer to travel. On-bus surveys will be conducted and passenger movements will be analysed using ticket machine data.

How to take part? 

• Pick up a questionnaire at St Andrews, Glenrothes and Leven Bus Station,
• complete it online at www.fife.gov.uk/bussurvey, or
• Email Travel.Fife@fife.gov.uk to request a paper copy

Cllr Altany Craik, council spokesperson for Finance, Economy and Strategic Planning, said:"Council supported bus services play an important role in helping people travel across Fife, with more than two million journeys made on these routes every year. That's why it's important we take the time to review them and understand how well they are meeting local needs.

"For many people, these services are essential for getting to work or college, attending appointments, and accessing shops, services and leisure opportunities. I’d encourage everyone to take part in the survey, whether you currently use the bus or not. Your feedback will help us shape services that best reflect the needs of our communities while ensuring public funding is used effectively."
