Local groups, community organisations and residents with ideas to improve their area are being invited along to a series of free funding support drop-in sessions taking place across the Cowdenbeath area this autumn.
The sessions are designed to help people turn ideas into reality by providing practical advice on funding opportunities, project planning and funding applications.
Whether you're looking to improve a local facility, create a community garden, organise an event, support environmental projects or start something completely new, Local Community Planning officers will be on hand to offer friendly advice and guidance.
The sessions are open to everyone, including community councils, residents' groups, parent groups, allotment and growing groups, sports clubs, environmental organisations, event organisers and people who are thinking about setting up a new community group.
Community groups often tell us that finding the right funding, understanding project costs and completing application forms can feel overwhelming. These drop-in sessions are an opportunity to get advice, ask questions and learn more about the funding support available locally and nationally.
Lesley Kirk, Local Community Planning Officer for the Cowdenbeath Area said:"Across our communities there are people with great ideas that could make a real difference locally. Sometimes all that's needed is a bit of support to help turn those ideas into a project and find the right funding to make it happen."
"These sessions are informal and open to everyone. Whether you're part of an established group, a small volunteer organisation or you're just at the ideas stage, we'd encourage you to come along for a chat and see what support is available."
