Fife Council is pleased to welcome 38 new apprentices across Building Services, Fleet Services, and Grounds Maintenance Service.

These apprentices will train across a wide range of construction, fleet maintenance and grounds maintenance trades, developing practical skills while gaining valuable industry experience.

Allan Halliday, Service Manager for Building Services, said: “We are delighted to welcome our newest group of apprentices to Environmental and Building Services.

“Their enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to learn are vital to the future of our service. Investing in apprenticeships helps us develop the skilled workforce of tomorrow while creating valuable opportunities for local people to build rewarding careers.

“We wish them every success as they begin their journey with Fife Council.”

The induction was attended by key council leaders, including Commercial Development Manager Lewis Mckerchar, Acting Service Manager Allan Halliday, Provost Jim Leishman, Councillor Judy Hamilton, and Head of Environment and Building Services Barry Neill.
