Kelty Community Centre will mark a major milestone with a 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 9 May 2026, from 12:00 until 3:00pm, bringing together local people, groups and partners for a vibrant afternoon of activities, entertainment and reflection.

The free community event will celebrate a decade of the centre serving as a welcoming hub for Kelty and surrounding areas. The programme includes speeches from local elected members, a historical photographic and film exhibition, entertainment for adults and children, community stalls, group taster sessions and demonstrations, and a buffet with refreshments.

Activities will take place throughout the centre, including:

• Opening and closing speeches in the Sports Hall
• Live entertainment, disco and bouncy castle
• Craft workshops and information stalls in the Youth Room
• Group taster sessions and demonstrations in the Dance Studio
• Historical film show and photography displays in the IT Suite

The celebrations will conclude with performances by Kelty & Blairadam Concert Band and other local performers.

Community Use Team Manager, Scott Fenton said:“Reaching our 10‑year anniversary is a huge achievement for Kelty Community Centre and for the community that has shaped it. This celebration is about recognising the people, groups and partnerships that make the centre such a welcoming and well used space. We’d love as many people as possible to come along, take part and help us celebrate together.”

Kelty Community Centre has played a vital role over the past decade, providing space for activities, support services, learning opportunities and social connections for people of all ages.

Everyone is welcome to attend and take part in the celebrations.
