Abbeyview residents invited to vote on £30,000 community projects

Local residents in Abbeyview are invited to have their say on how £30,000 of funding from Fife Council will be spent in their community.

The voting event takes place on Saturday 14 February 2026, from 12–2pm at Abbeyview Community Hub. Everyone is welcome to come along and vote for the projects they believe will make the biggest difference locally.

If you can’t make it in person, you can also vote online from 9 February 2026

The Abbeyview Working Group has received applications from individuals, community groups and organisations. Each proposal aims to improve the area and support priorities such as community wellbeing and environmental improvements.

Abbeyview Working Group said: “We’re delighted to see so many ideas come forward and now it’s time for the community to decide which projects should receive funding. This is about local people shaping the future of Abbeyview.”

Cllr James Calder, Convener of the City of Dunfermline Area Committee, added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to make a real impact. By voting, you’re helping ensure this funding delivers benefits that matter most to Abbeyview. I encourage everyone to come along and take part.”

Bring your friends and family, enjoy refreshments and take part in shaping Abbeyview’s future together. Entry is free and the venue is fully accessible with parking available.
