Glenrothes Area Councillors have approved £30,000 of funding to repair and resurface Woolmill Road and tackle drainage issues along the route.
The road was identified as a priority because of its condition and concerns raised by local councillors. The funding will allow the repairs and drainage improvements to go ahead.
Councillors agreed to allocate the funding from additional capital investment made available to area committees for local roads improvements.
Councillor John Beare, Convener of Glenrothes Area Committee, said: "Councillors have agreed funding to repair and resurface Woolmill Road and address drainage issues. These works will help improve the condition of the road and address concerns that have been raised locally."
