Roadworks on Carnock Road, Dunfermline

We're restarting the footpath upgrading at Gowkhall to Lundin Road, Dunfermline from Monday 28 July to Wednesday 20 August 2025.

To ensure safety during the works, the road will be temporarily closed. A signed diversion route will be in place. The road closure will be lifted every Friday evening to allow normal traffic flow over the weekend.

Location

Carnock Road is a main route from West Fife Villages to Dunfermline. These works will have an impact on traffic flow and possibly cause delays.

There will be access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians. Bus services will continue, with shuttle buses provided. For more bus information please contact Stagecoach on 01592 645680 or visit www.stagecoachbus.com.

Works Programme

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm.

All roadworks depend on the weather and may be cancelled or rescheduled if the weather is bad.

Communications

Updates will be provided through our social media channels and website. Early advanced signage will be displayed at key locations to warn road users of the roadworks.
