Levenmouth Area Committee today appointed a new Convenor and Vice-Convenor. Cllr Alistair Suttie has now stepped into the role of Convenor and will be assisted by new Vice-Convenor Ken Caldwell.

The decision was made at a Special Meeting of the Levenmouth Area Committee today, following the resignation of Cllr. Colin Davidson last week.

Cllr Suttie later said he was very honoured to be chosen as the new Committee Convenor, adding: “I’m grateful to be given the chance to lead this committee which has played a key role in so many of the positive changes we have seen in Levenmouth in the last few years.

“Levenmouth area certainly has its challenges but with the introduction of the new station, remedial works on the Prom, upgrades to the bus station, improved access to walking and cycling routes, it’s clear that Levenmouth is on the rise.

“It’s the duty of the Area Committee to make sure that we continue to lead these changes and support the community to its full potential.

“I look forward to working with all the Levenmouth Area Committee members to continue putting Levenmouth and its people at the front and centre of everything we do."
