Residents in Kirkcaldy, Dysart, Kinghorn, Burntisland, and Auchtertool can now benefit from a new Handy Person Service, designed to support individuals with small household repairs and tasks.

Fife Council know that for some people in our communities’ small jobs around the house, like changing light bulbs, moving furniture or carrying out small repairs, can be impossible to carry out, not to mention unaffordable.

That’s why they have teamed up with Community Trade Hub Limited, a not-for-profit organisation with extensive experience in community support and skills development.

Together they want to provide a service to those who aren’t able and can’t afford to pay for these services. The Community Trade Hub provides a service which is trusted, reliable, accessible, and affordable.

The service is available to all, not just our Fife Council tenants, but also homeowners and private tenants who need a little help.

Services include:

· Installation of washing machines

· Moving small items to the kerbside

· Furniture assembly

· Changing light bulbs

· Hanging shelves, pictures, and curtain rails

· Moving furniture

· Small joinery, plumbing, and electrical repairs
