Fife woman receives honour for charitable service to veterans

On Thursday 15th February, the Lord-Lieutenant of Fife, Mr Robert Balfour presided over the investiture of Christine Evans BEM, presenting her medal in front of family and friends.

Also present were Deputy Lieutenant Jim Leggat OBE who read out the citation and Depute Provost Dave Dempsey representing Fife Council.

Christine was awarded her medal for the years of work she has undertaken as Area Organiser with Poppy Scotland in Fife.

Christine said she was accepting the honour on behalf of all of the Poppy Scotland volunteers in Fife who work tirelessly to raise funds for the charity.
